Today was a big day for our little man. This morning they took out his heart line, and when I came back from pumping, this is what I saw.
To see my wonderful husband holding my beautiful son, I truly cant imagine a more beautiful sight. A few minutes later, I finally (FINALLY!) had my son in my arms. I cant even begin to describe how good it felt. Let's just say I've cried lots of happy tears today.
I was all set to write y'all a proper update, and then my baby started crying and I had to hold him. And I couldn't be happier about it.
So I promise a proper update with lots of pictures tomorrow, but for now I'm going to go rock my little fighter and thank the Lord for blessing us so abundantly and graciously with such a beautiful boy. Y'all have been so faithful in getting on your knees with us, and we hope you will join us today in praising the Lord for all the things He has already done in and through Caden.
Just over a week ago, I wrote a post about how overwhelmed I felt by fears and sadness. And today again I am overwhelmed, but this time by the graciousness of a God who loves us enough to shower us with His great grace and mercies. And who has blessed us so richly while carrying us every minute of this journey so far. We recognize that Caden's little fight isn't over, not by a long shot, but we are grateful for each victory along the way. And rocking our little man to sleep? That is one big victory.
