So I'm laying here in a king-sized bed all by myself in a hotel near Sea Island. If that sounds a little bit like a dream come true, just know that it is. You see, I'm attending the fabulous Elizabeth Messina's A Lovely Workshop this week. And yes, it is true that I could not be more excited about learning and growing and experiencing all the wonderful people and talented photographers (cue feeling way overwhelmed and under-talented) . . . But I'm possibly even MORE excited about the prospect of sleeping through the night for at least 3 nights in a row. I literally cannot remember the last time that happened. Literally.
All that to say, I'm just about to go to sweet-sleep, with no prospect of waking until the morning. But I wanted to pop in and say hello to y'all. How was your Easter? This year was possibly the best Easter ever. We enjoyed a beautiful service at Renovation with approximately 15 neighborhood kiddos, and all our family. And then we celebrated with both sides of the family at my parents' house, and brought along a whole slew of boys who played an impromptu soccer match in the yard. It felt like such a picture of redemption and this beautiful time where we ate delicious food and grasped hands in a big circle to pray while Jayci danced in her new tinkerbell costume and the boys played a little old school Playstation. NCAA Football 2004 y'all. That's old.
As a side note: This was supposed to be a quick post; however, something is seriously wrong with my macbook and it is moving at the slowest possible pace, which is slowly (very slowly) driving me insane. Sigh.
In fact, never-mind. I was going to update y'all with pictures from the weekend, but there will be no actual Easter pictures right now. Because the glacial speed is trying to ruin all my grand plans for slumber. I will try again another day when I have 18 hours to download one picture.
