Caden is here, as I think you may have heard via twitter or facebook. He was born 7lbs 12oz, 20 inches long and he came fast and furious after they induced me, making his arrival at 10:01am. When he was born, everything looked great until they heard a heart murmur and his oxygen level was a little too low. They sent him up to the transitional nursery, and did an echo cardiogram and found some severe defects in his heart. They just told us that he has a severe Aortic Stenosis, as well as a narrowing in a portion of his aorta, and a mild mitral stenosis as well. He will probably need some type of heart surgery. We dont know much else yet, they just transferred him to a Children's hospital nearby, and Adam is going there to be with him. As soon as they discharge me I will join him. But we could really use your prayers. We are terrified, sad, a little angry, and basically everything feels like a bad dream right now. We are clinging to each other and trying our best to cling to God through this, but we are running on about 2 hours sleep and my body is pretty exhausted from everything, so we can use as many prayers as we can get at this point.
I figured this was the best way to keep everyone updated, we will do our best to let everyone know as we learn more.
